Jetstream Aviation Capital is proud to announce the FAA approval of Täby Air Maintenance’s (TAM) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for the Saab 2000 Cargo conversion, marking a significant milestone in the continued growth of Jetstream’s regional freighter investment platform. Following earlier approval by EASA, this achievement underscores the strength of Jetstream’s strategic vision and its leadership in bringing next-generation regional cargo solutions to market. As the launch customer, Jetstream played a central role in guiding the program from concept through certification, ensuring it meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and long-term asset value.
The Saab 2000 Cargo represents a key addition to Jetstream’s expanding portfolio, introducing a modern, high-performance turboprop freighter tailored to the evolving needs of regional logistics. Offering an optimal combination of speed, efficiency, and payload capability, the aircraft is well-suited for express freight, e-commerce distribution, and other time-critical operations. Compared to the Saab 340 Cargo, it delivers greater capacity, sector speeds up to 30% faster, and extended range, enabling operators to enhance network reach and maximize utilization.
Jetstream has already overseen the conversion of the first aircraft at TAM’s facility in Örebro and is preparing for initial deliveries in the near term. With FAA approval now secured, Jetstream is well-positioned to accelerate placements across North America, where it is seeing strong demand from operators seeking to modernize their fleets with a proven and efficient platform.
The Saab 2000 Cargo program reflects Jetstream’s commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and supporting its global customer base with flexible, performance-driven fleet options.
